Narayan
Music
Mani Sharma
Production
Vamsi Krishna

The Narayan’s directorial venture has sexy Shriya Saran forming the very reason of duel between the lead actors and thus making a comeback in Telugu Cinema after Don Seenu, provided her special appearance in Komaram Puli is overlooked. Now, she has his fingers crosses since the flick is supposed to decide Shriya’s fate in Tollywood and it’s a do-or-die situation for her.

Naresh as Avinash is impressive and surprisingly doles out no spoofs but only performance. He did what the director asked him to. Sharwanand appears both as a patient and a lover boy. He is flawless in both the shades. Both the heroes got equal screen space. Shriya is beautiful and does a commendable job as a youngster who represents the today’s generation.

Ali churns out little humor and grabs a lengthy role. Brahmanandam as Akku Bhai is hilarious n occasions; however, his spoofs on Ghajini and Robot are too lengthy and the lip sync fails. Kovai Sarala is uproarious at times and accompanies Brahmanandam after long time. The others fill the screen.

Two cinematographers, Senthil and Shiva, worked for the film and they pull it off creditably. Nonetheless, nowhere do we find the difference in the output they provided us with. Music by Bheems is notable and a couple of tracks excite the masses, my personal choice being Sir megra dil lutgayee… Mani Sharma’s background score lifted many scenes.

Though the director denied it, the plot derives ample of elements from previous Bollywood release – Deewana Mastana. Screenplay is a drawback and dialogues are mediocre. Narayan’s direction is average; he could have handled the actors more brightly and give out the best of production values, which he failed in.

Though a romantic comedy, the director has got three talented actors in the lead with whom he could have worked wonders but he didn’t make the grade. The mystifying script and shoddy screenplay too became deterrents.

Narayan thought of delivering a Garam Masala or a Housefull through confusion comedy, but he failed miserably in executing the same.

NUVVA NENA could have been a good Movie!!
